We celebrate the people who wear our label not just for how they look but for who they are and how they are Shy Heroes in their world. Models are also role models for women that view them and we think it is only right to say a little about who they are as humans and how we connected with their values.
We would like to introduce you to Celina.
Celina is truly a Shy Hero because in her interview below she doesn't mention her winning the award for Business Woman on the Year. She is not just a talented entrepreneur as her business First Crop Coffee is completely ethically with a focus on giving back to the communities and allowing farming communities to have a voice. We are so happy to have met her! Read more about her views...
How are you a shy hero? What are the things you would like to promote in the world? I am a quiet achiever, using what I have to do what I believe is right and just behind the scenes. Over everything I think equality, justice and kindness are the most important things I want to promote in this world.
How do you connect with Melbourne and its surrounding landscapes? I connect with Melbourne in the little everyday things, whether it’s enjoying a walk in the city or driving around the country where I currently live. Melbourne is so easy to love!
What does fashion mean to you? Fashion is an expression of who we are. It can be an insight into someones personality. It has the power to bring people together and we take that for granted, it means more than we think.
How did you feel modelling and what did you hope to communicate with your body to other woman? I have always been unhappy in my body because the media has been brainwashing me since I was a toddler telling me I was imperfect. Once you learn to love the body that you have been given and embrace the scars that make you you, you take the power away from those forces that are lying to you. I’d hope to communicate to other woman that there is only one beautiful you, so give you body the love it deserves.
What is your favourite shy hero piece and why? My favourite piece would have to be the Alto Jumper. Not just because I modelled it but because it was so deliciously warm and lovely, it felt like I was wearing a hug from an old friend!
